Twisted - I had a tiny thread of 'hope' he would come to his senses and do everything in his power to fix 'us'. He didn't even come close. He didn't even step on the starting block.

Once I heard his voice, after so long, it was easy to realise that 'hope' no longer existed. I actually feel a sense of freedom.
