I don't think he is a bad person, just a weak and very self-centred one. Braff is quite right about the callousness of pouring out his woes to you at this time, but his little world is encased in a steel cocoon od 'self' and he is no more able to comprehend your grief for your father than he was able to understand why you couldn't live together 'as friends' after he had cheated on you.

I know lovely she-ele :_| Was he always this self centred? It's hard to know who the real man was/is.

oh and for anybody whos concerned about my cocopop consumption-I went to the d...ist yesterday and couldnt eat 'real' food..IMHO cocopops are the answer to many of lifes problems:-p:^O:^O

I remembered something(it happened many years ago) I found out that my father said to my ex,when he was trying to stay in touch with me and the only contact # he had was for my father..This Mr would phone my father and have these long(on his side)conversations and my father would listen patiently and then when this Mr would ask for my contact deets,my father would say very calmly,if d wants to get in touch with you she would..

anyway,one time,my fathers on the phone with Mr and the usual Q is asked and my father says 'Listen son,that train has left the station' to which Mr says 'yes,but it might be going in my direction' and my father replied 'son,youre not even on the same track,toot toot':^O

Mr wrote me a letter after he heard my father passed away:-x and told me that...I can imagine my father saying those words-it was quite a shock to 'hear' my fathers voice in those words!but he never told me that he had to take phone calls from Mr..and I have always been grateful not to have known...:-x

Cat - I would NOT respond further to emails and texts etc etc - he might start phoning you wanting to talk when he gets more desperate.

It will only wear you down further and make you wonder and do your head in.

I would just ignore them - and that will leave Mr Ex wondering.... and wondering .......... and enjoying his motel room and new job.

Dear Ms Cat, You are doing great! Don't even bother with Mr Ex and his emails. He is not worthy of you or your time.
He made his choices and now he is living with the consequences. Sounds to me like the Karma truck and been unloading on him big time and he only has himself to thank for that!.
