I'm back!

I came home from work Sat night to find the power OUT. I had lights but only 2 working power points in the kitchen. No internet, no landline, no fridge, no TV, no power in the bathroom or bedroom and no ducted heating . 😮

So put my OK's on and grabbed a torch and did things with wires and fuses for an hour but no luck.

What was a girl to do with no distractions and melted icecream?

I chanted. Lots. Sunday I saw my Buddhist teacher, told her about Mr Ex's emails and things 'going wrong'.

The dishwasher, broken toe, hairdryer, pool pump, electricity and ducted heating. pergola broke for good and had to dismantle it ...

She said I'm being tested. My fear was being a woman alone and all these 'man can fix' things were happening. She said just to let it all pass through me like the flu. I am getting stronger and feel a lot more confident and have no intention of having Mr Ex back. 😄

But I missed CS!

ps But while chanting I remembered Mr Ex left an extension cord so I got the fridge working again and the TV and read in bed by torchlight. Problem solved 🙂

Seriously,I think your teacher is right on the money:-x..

odd how things can show us other ways of seeing and experiencing life,if only we are prepared to view them differently...its like looking at a tree from a distance,you know its a tree,the usual trunk,branches and leaves and then you come closer and there may be a scent or a flower
amongst the leaves,there might even be a carpet of leaves underfoot...and then you lie on the ground and look up at the tree-its the same tree-but you can see the sky through
the tree now and there might even be dappled shadows from the light through the leaves.
I love that a tree-a simple tree can show you so many ways to SEE..its mind blowing.

And,no,I havent been smoking anything! :^O

Ps I also like the symbolism of the extension cord...:-)

I never thought about the extension cord. I am extending myself.

A friend asked me today if I was happy (we were doing a quiz) and I could honestly say YES!.

The analogy of the tree is beautiful. It all depends on our view.

oh and for anybody whos concerned about my cocopop consumption-I went to the d...ist yesterday and couldnt eat 'real' food..IMHO cocopops are the answer to many of lifes problems:-p:^O:^O

I remembered something(it happened many years ago) I found out that my father said to my ex,when he was trying to stay in touch with me and the only contact # he had was for my father..This Mr would phone my father and have these long(on his side)conversations and my father would listen patiently and then when this Mr would ask for my contact deets,my father would say very calmly,if d wants to get in touch with you she would..

anyway,one time,my fathers on the phone with Mr and the usual Q is asked and my father says 'Listen son,that train has left the station' to which Mr says 'yes,but it might be going in my direction' and my father replied 'son,youre not even on the same track,toot toot':^O

Mr wrote me a letter after he heard my father passed away:-x and told me that...I can imagine my father saying those words-it was quite a shock to 'hear' my fathers voice in those words!but he never told me that he had to take phone calls from Mr..and I have always been grateful not to have known...:-x

And thank you for sharing this delightful story about your dad. I like him!

Dear Ms Cat, You are doing great! Don't even bother with Mr Ex and his emails. He is not worthy of you or your time.
He made his choices and now he is living with the consequences. Sounds to me like the Karma truck and been unloading on him big time and he only has himself to thank for that!.
