Census - They forgot our fur babies

On Tuesday night Australia attempted to have a Census — and as we all know, it was hilarious.

For those of us who managed to actually complete our forms before being told we could not submit themwe know the questions that were within.

And we can all agree there will be a vital piece of information missing from the statistics (apart from potentially half the population… hopefully that gets sorted): pets.

There were questions about domestic duties and whether or not we had done volunteer work in the past week (way to make us feel guilty). We provided information on our level of qualification and weekly income.

But there was nowhere to put our pets, and Bondi Vet‘s Dr Chris Brown is determined to do something about that.

“Sure it’s Census time, but something doesn’t seem quite right. It appears they’ve forgotten someone; our pets,” the popular vet posted to his Facebook wall last night.

“With not a single question about the furry family, it’s surely impossible to plan for an Australia where pets are included.”

His solution? Launching Australia’s first-ever Pet Census.

“You might even enjoy this one,” he promised.

“This census is simple, with just eight questions and best of all, no personal details! Armed with this insight into our pet population, I’ll be talking to government over the next month to ensure we Keep Australia Pet Friendly.”

He's really very nice and when he came over bobbi (my granddaughter said 'look nanny there;s our friend Chris) LOL

He can drink a lot of beer and is truly wonderful with kids, it happened to be a kids Christmas party.

I love his rapport with Julia Morris on IACGMOOH.

He plays a good 'straight man'

His boot-scooting routine had me in stitches, it was so bad

Re: Census - They forgot our fur babies

Pet census complete! There was one question I didn't answer. The one asking what's stopping you getting a pet (or another one). None of those options applied. The reason I can't get more is space constraints. If I had more room I'd get more pets!

Shame the people census isn't done. Census said the site was up and running, but I can't get onto it. I told them I'm not going to do it, just send me the fine and be done with it. There are plenty who've said they'll opt for the fine. Doesn't that kinda defeat the purpose? Then those people won't be counted and have all their stuff recorded. It would skew the results a bit wouldn't it?

This site can’t be reached

someone heard him mumbling 'do i have to do everything myself around here?'

after the census he'll have a look at that bloomin senate, might need some dynamite with that one.
