I hope that in the future if not today open discussion on Depression and Mental Illness can carry on...
Thoughts and best wishes to all who loved and cared for and about you .
“Charlotte was a beautiful person physically, but she also had a beautiful soul. She was kind, loving and generous,” Vicky said.
“She was a kind, loving and generous person and worked tirelessly for the causes she believed in.

some of us are busy caring for other people lol.I don't always have a lot of time to sit and pretend i am having a conversation with friends over the dinner table ..rather than a posting a post on a discussion board.
I shouldn't really talk about the other thread..but since others have mentioned it again .I will say that I was sorry to see what I saw as open discussion on something Charlotte believed in disappear...with stated intent which wasn't there.I did post a RIP and only posted more later on after other posters had done so.It seemed that it was OK for some not so for all which is not as it should be imo.

Hello, everyone. This thread is getting a little off-topic, and becoming another bickering thread.
Could we please bring the discussion back to Charlotte Dawson's legacy. Thanks!

I used to post on one on this forum (as a Carer)...unfortunately my experience was not positive but I wish everyone well with that.

lloyd, some people will take offence no matter how gently gently people are. Some find issues where there are none
Its sad that Charlotte Dawson, thought things were that hopeless she had to take her own life but how is her "legacy" any different from all the other people before her?
She was also known to troll on occassion and could be quite nasty online too. She was no saint
Wjhat makes her more special than the teens who thought like her, or even those that dont make the news. Are they less special? Do they not deserve to have a legacy?

Chuk, I see every life as equal.Every life lost as the same. For each and every one of those there are family left to mourn their loss. That is the tradegy. No matter who raises awareness...the importance is that the awareness is raised...as a legacy to lives lost and to the Living .Charlotte did raise awareness ...celebrity or not..she did that...that is her Legacy and a very important one to many people now and in the future.

Right to the point am*3. Like her or even idolise her if you must, but this is not the answer to problems. It might have felt at the time the only answer, but when you think of the people who knew and loved her, one has to feel so sorry for them and for the young kids that thought she was just the best.
We tend to forget those that are left behind and that is wrong, they are hurting and that must be respected.

She also participated in it dont forget.
I knew of a young bloke, who couldnt stand up to the name calling and constant bullying, he never participated, never bit bit back. He was at a party the night before he died and was told to go kill himself, it showed just how much he listened to those people, he was 19.
My old school friend, had a beautiful girlfriend, A grade student, 2 parents who loved him dearly, friends who adored him, to the outside world not a care in the world. He gassed himself and his mum found him. No one to this day knows why.
My view is, these "nobodies" so to speak deserve the recognition that famous people have,

totally agree with you Chuck.
I know of 5 including my son that took their own life, except for my son, the others were in their teens.
