i made a 'dessert pizza" once and it had slices of chocolate salami on it. I can't remember how I made the salami but it was similar to a dense chocolate truffle mix with almond slivers (to represent the fat in a salami). Very yummy!!  The pizza also had chocolate covered raisins (for olives) strawberry jam (for the tomato sauce), chopped up jelly snakes (capsicum) and white chocolate (cheese).

can't say I've ever heard of chocolate salami, is it like chocolate pate in a sausage skin or are you just taking the **bleep** out of me for all my inane and perfectly unslappable food threads today? LOL

The ingredients are

1 cup of unsalted butter

4 ounces of semisweet chocolate

2 cups ground almonds

pinch of cinnamon 

pinch of ground cloves

pinch of nutmeg

2 tablespoons lemon juice

1 egg beaten

1 3/4 cups powdered sugar

Sounds lovely except for the cloves and the nutmeg

I forgot the

1/4 cup of candied lemon peel

1/4 cup of slivered almonds

There would have to be slivers yum 🙂
