haven't had a cigar since the nineties, not orally anyway.

I smoked for 50 years … and my health (my chest) was in terrible condition … I had to give up or die … but I never tried because of the horror stories you hear from people who tried (stories like, it is easier to give up heroin than tobacco) …
Then one day, I ran out of tobacco (I smoked rollies, about 40 - 50 a day) and said to myself, well now seems to be a good time to try … cold turkey ! .
Unbelievably, remarkably, it was easy … not a worry … wow … I now believe I was never really addicted … a heavy heavy smoker yes !, but not really addicted … there was no withdrawal symptoms, no cravings, maybe a little strange not to have a **bleep** in my hand
Speaking to other reformed smokers, there are others like me … went cold turkey … no worries,
So give it a try, maybe you are one of the lucky ones. Like me, you may be a heavy smoker, but not really addicted. So don’t believe all those horror stories
It might be easier than you think
One of the best decisions I have ever made in my life (and most probably saved me from an early death !)…
And the money I have saved, I can now buy more beer

I have a feeling that the revenue from cigarettes does not cover what smoking costs in health cost. And why should other people pay taxes for treating smokers for their self inflicted illnesses?
