My laptop has become very slow to load sites.
Is there any way that I can speed it up? This has only happened recently.
I have a current AVG Security to stop bugs, so am not sure what is wrong.

I am surprised at peoples' speeds.
Maybe I am just too impatient
Funny to think when we started we had 1 gig of data and it was heaps. We then upped it to 3. Now we are on a 200GB a month plan.
And we need it. I blame youtube.

If you are near the exchange, you should be getting more than 3Mbps, at least 5 or 6 as a minimum.
I know mine is low and why it is that way but it doesn't worry me and I know why.
But someone close like you, I'd ask a few questions.
Ping - I never worry about it.
The thing is, with such a 'slow' speed I don't get any hiccups and never buffering on Youtube. I don't honestly don't know what I'd do with a faster speed.

Yes, it is. When I got my first internet service at home it cost $5 per hour to use and I don't think PCs had hard drives as large as 1 Gig.
