latest 335,403 cases, 14,611 dead, 97,636 recovered.
So how has China managed to control it and have no new deaths if that chart is correct?
They shut down whole cities, tested people, isolated those infected even if they did not have symptoms, and 2 months later all their new cases are imported. Therefore they have 2 weeks quarantine for anybody coming from o/s. They even had no new cases for couple of days.
That shows that it can be "contained" so surely everyone should follow those guidelines?
Could the flu shot prevent it as the body produces the same immune cells to fight it?

The 47-year-old woman from Wuhan, China, had presented to hospital in Australia.
She recovered within 14 days.
Prof Kedzierska told the BBC her team had examined the "whole breadth of the immune response" in this patient.
Three days before the woman began to improve, specific cells were spotted in her bloodstream.
In influenza patients, these same cells also appear around this time before recovery, Prof Kedzierska said.

“You know, this is an opportunity. Our sales are up in Harvey Norman in Australia by 9% on last year. Our sales in freezers are up 300%. And what about air purifiers? Up 100%.

In case you ever start to feel nostalgic for capitalism, here’s an 80-year-old billionaire retailer telling 60 Minutes “there’s pretty much nothing to get scared of” while crowing about a panic-buying-induced windfall.
yeah well...he's not the one who induced the panic-buying. He's just profiting from all the scare-mongering. He's probably not the only one.

48 hour martial law conditions declared for VIC and NSW - essential travel only , this is not a dril
Not in that link?
This is the only one I could find, and it is that these states will impose restrictions IN 48 hours (ie tomorrow), not FOR 48 hours. And it's not a blanket ban on travel.
I did say " essential travel only " is public knowledge now

i cant get around the fact they lifted the dole to double what it was $550, to $1100 per fortnight but didnt raise the pension and disability pensions to the same level.
making all 3 the same.
do pensioners not need a little extra too?
actually i'm still reeling at the $550 increase for the unemployed, i was expecting a modest $100 increase if any at all.
not that i think the lifting isnt great news for those who are on newstart. sad it took a national disaster for them to get it.
You obviously do not live 60% under the poverty line with the expectation of living cheerfully - the extra mnoney can be considered also danger money a the unemployed are still required to seek employment

I have all the papers so if stopped by cops I can show them I tried.

Apart from the WOF, do you have everything you need Lionrose? I'm pretty much in lockdown with my mother in her retirement village in Welcome Bay but I am able to go out for groceries if needed.
