heard an interview with the south australian premier a shot time ago on local ABC radio

the subject of people going on easter holidays was asked about and some callers by phone and text were alarmed at the numbers of people ignoring the govt request to 'stay home'

his reply was a gob smacking 'oh most people are doing the right thing, hes sees no reason to force people to stay home'

he once again has proven himself a 'do nothing and hope for the best' kinda guy.

i dont think our house of holiday makers is going anywhere, i dont think the police can make them leave.

oh fgs why don't all the premiers back the feds in this.  Morrison has said over and over not to travel to holiday homes and to stay home, how undermining is this premier!

Re your new neighbours (lucky you)  the cops there must be as weak as pxxx   if they can't send them home.

Re: Coronavirus update

I totally support the staying at home and safe distance  rule.  But couple of days ago the rules were

1 - you have to stay at yout primary residence

2 - you cannot take you child for driving lesson

3 - only one person from household should go to the supermarket

4 - do no allow your children to interact with your parents

5 - children can go to the free holiday programs the council provides, but you cannot leave your kids with your friends.  Great, so what should single parents (or partners of somebody still working)do with their kis when going to the shop?  Put them in the holiday minding with other 20 kids?

Last night somebody realized how unworkable that is and this is what was announced:

1 - you can go to your holiday house with your children and anybody who lives permanently in your house

2 - you can go surfing, as long as you do not sit on the beach

5 - you can leave your child with your friend while you do your shopping or go to work.  Yey!

But single parents still have to honor any access arrangements regardless what sort of a..hole the other parent is.

Will be watching for what the rules will be tonight...........

And if anyone in that family has it they are obviously welcome to spread it to other areas and

stuff the people that live there.

That sounds completetely wrong as stay home is not travel to another town/area.Angry head bang.gif

Will be watching for what the rules will be tonight...........

If that happens here our hospital couldn't cope with it if it spreads as it's only small.crying.gif

We've had two cases who self isolated when they came back from overseas and don't need/want any numpties

here as the clubs and golf courses have been shut down and fishing isn't allowed.

Most people have their weekender easy drive from where they live.  Anybody with half a brain would bring their provisions as they could not be sure they will be able to get what they need.  If they then isolate in their house and garden; do not go near locals, and should any of them feel unwell they would drive back to the city.  I would certainly want to be near city hospital IF I would get really sick.  But most people do not need hospital, or even medical care.

The thing is Kaz,

We are asked to ' stay at home ' .

How hard is it.

Stay at home.

For the sake of everyone.

Not hard.

Re: Coronavirus update

Coronavirus treatment doctors report trauma, threats over lack of PPE in hospitals

https://www.abc.net.au/news/2020-04-09/coronavirus-doctors-trauma-as-ppe-equipment-sharing-re-use/12...

sadly you can put 'professional' in your name but that doesnt mean you will allways act 'professional'

these people have a most difficult job, a job none of them want to be doing.

risking their own lives like never before.

if anyone in the ranks cant get with the flow and know everyones doing their best they need to leave the party.

yes its a high pressure situation, so dont make it any worse.

dont make it about what you dont have make it about what you do have.

if you cant work if someones not got a full set of PPE on, then stop working, your not helping if your spending time sniping at your collegues.
