Residents in Metropolitan Melbourne and the Mitchell Shire will soon be required to wear face coverings in public or risk a fine, as Victoria extends its state of emergency by another four weeks.
The new rule will come into effect from 11:59pm on Wednesday, and the fine for not wearing one will be $200.
Victoria has recorded 363 new cases of COVID-19 since yesterday.

NSW is now going to put stricter protocols in place for border resident along the entire border.
Our entire shire has no cases but it's in Victoria so locked out but the way it's going there will probably be more
of an increase and many more areas that will be affected as young people seem to want to party,carry on and
move about as they don't seem to care about the rest of the population as the 20 to 34 age group is now
responsible for 36% of cases in Victoria.
That may/does bring their intelligence level into question as well and they are the "future".
Border entry rules will change from midnight 21 July
New restrictions will see a stricter border zone apply along the Murray River from midnight Tuesday 21 July.
All currently issued permits and any issued between now and the commencement of the border zone will expire at midnight on Tuesday 21 July.
People will have to reapply for a new permit to enter NSW from Victoria if they remain eligible to.

All NSW residents are strongly urged not to travel to Victoria. NSW residents who travel beyond the border zone into Victoria will need to self-isolate upon return for 14 days.

it is no secret that I live in a border community.
The idea of NSW residents around here not crossing into Victoria is laughable. Must have been thought up by someone in Sydney.
