.....The Prime Minister and Victoria's Premier have held crisis talks overnight, flagging the possibility of bringing in even tighter restrictions as the state records its darkest day of the coronavirus pandemic.

Victoria is set to record its 10,000th coronavirus case today as it grapples with a crisis seemingly out of control despite weeks of lockdown.

That would mean closing all businesses except for essential services, such as supermarkets and chemists, and also potentially restricting the movement of residents even further.

One suggestion is keeping people to their immediate neighbourhood for essential supplies.

All state and territory leaders are due to hold further talks today

ADF is already conducting the stay at home visits

ADF personnel conducted more than 500 home visits to check active case were staying at home yesterday, up from 269 checks the day before.

"There were more than 130 unsuccessful visits," Mr Andrews said.

That means one-in-four people were found to be not isolating when they should have been.

The only place to be is at home," Mr Andrews stressed.

For people who are not home, they risk being fined and will be referred to police.

More than 100 have been referred to police so far.

He stated yesterday - the Election should be postponed till all could safely vote - while calling mail-in votes ' rigged '.

As President - surely he understands the Election cannot be postponed - Constitution.
