You have to lock down Stage 4 it is the only way.

I know it is hard, but heck we had to do it here

I know it is harder in a country the size of Oz and because of more people you have more idiots

Portland town (AUSTRALIA) should be preparing unbreakable quarantine measures - there is a segment of society who out of principle according to their value system do not hardly consider this pandemic as a factor for mitigating and so will break quarantine or isolation mitigation if such actions do not attract lawful penalty - so enhanced positive containment measures are needed , which is off-the-shelf technology

There is still hope but the pandemic seems to be spreading along the southen VIC coast towards the persistantly effective SA border

"Queensland has recorded one new coronavirus case overnight, Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk says. 

The positive case was a returned traveller who recently returned from overseas and flew to Maroochydore from Sydney on Friday with Jetstar.

The man in his 20s is a consular official coming from Kabul in Afghanistan and is exempt from hotel quarantine."

Anyone who travelled with the consular official on the Jetstar flight will now have to be tested, tracked and subjected to a lot of worry and stress. Surely the exemption policy is dangerous, failing and needs to be seriously reviewed.

Once convicted infected quarantine breakers recover , maybe an idea to include, as part of the penalty , community service in the form of  support work - like washing the floors - at an aged car facility for 3 months

The only cases we are getting in NZ now is from people who are returning to NZ and are in Lock down, we do not have any contact cases. fingers crossed
