One idiotic security guard didn't do the job he was paid to do and decided to "fraternise" with the very people he

He then took his infected body and infected others including fellow guards and they all then spread it at home and

any places they visited.

In my opinion he should've been charged as what he did could be seen as a deliberate act and he should be

held responsible for every person that dies in the second wave of this pandemic.stubborn_smiley_by_mirz123-d4bt0te_zps12f1a5a3.gif

I do not think all our cases can be traced to the hotel and the guard.  There are many cases they do not know where they came from.  It is very likely it was in the community transferred from one asymptomatic person to another.  Just because they did not trace any cases to those protests does not mean people did not get infected there.  Last time I heard, they had 750 of people tested positive who they could not trace back to known source.  That basically means they picked it up on public transport or shopping for groceries, most likely from asymptomatic person who was never tested, and have no idea they had it.

The way I read it Victoria recorded another 671 ( edit now up to 685 )  new COVID cases overnight, on top of the 397 recorded yesterday, so all up over 1000 in a day and a bit.

New lock down measures include no travel outside a 5 km. radius of home, all weddings cancelled,  schools closed and all but essential businesses closed as well as a nightly curfew..

This is pretty bad...... My thoughts go out to all Victorians, friend or foe.

5km is fine in some places but NOT in others.  I am almost out of my choock feed and will need some dog kibble soon, and the nearest feed and pet food stores are all over 6km from here.  PETCIRCLE was good for the convenience; if they were to be trusted to deliver on time.  😞

Am guessing that most people in Melb, will have to endure some kind of inconvenience to get this virus under control.

It is not just matter of inconvenience if I have to break the law to get my animal feed.  I have no choice but to get the chook food tomorrow, and hope they will also have some dog kibble, but last time I was in that place they did not have any.  Normally, before I started to use PETCIRCLE, I used to get my kibble from pet supply store, which is about 7km away.

Absolutely, but if it was up to the weather then they should not be doing as badly as they are .  Spain and other European countries are also getting worse.

What seems obvious to me is that most politicians are bad at managing a health crisis. Doctors, nurses and front line staff have been pleading with them for months to do the right thing. But politicians have too many personal views and vested interests to listen. I doubt anything will change if/when this pandemic ends.

Although some seem to be better than others

There are some benefits of living in dictatorship. He can isolate any outbreak even more aggressively than China can.  And people do as they are told.  Karens are just shot....,

By the way he does not claim there are no cases; he admitted to one; man who somehow snuck in from South Korea.
