No they can't as they wanted them lifted weeks ago when the numbers weren't low enough to do so.

This just proves what idiots they were and if any of them had been infected and infections had increased because

of them then this easing of restrictions would not have happened.

Even now people would be worried about numbers going up because there may be infected cases out there that

haven't come forward to be tested as they did the wrong things during lockdown.

We will not be COVID or flu free.  Just because Australia is managing to keep COVID under control, and as we are all keeping away from each other the spread of flu has also been limited, that means nothing.  The pandemic is only getting worse in the rest of the world.  It is only matter of time before the 30 000 Australians return home, and certain percentage of them will be infected.  Hopefully they will not infect anybody else, but it cannot be guaranteed.  And nobody knows how it will mutate.  Because mutate it will.

You conveniently forget that Andrews thought he was superior to the SA Premier and said, "Who'd want to go to SA anyway?"  Pride comes before a fall!  It was very shortly after that statement when people were fleeing Victoria!

we do not need any from the rest of the world to be here in thsi time of dangerous crisis - they are just a convenience or icing on the social/tourist cake in safe times ( accepting yearly influenza contamination, serious cases in the thousands and hundreds of untimely deaths)
