I give a kudo for many reasons.
Some are just to acknowledge that I have read them.
Some to support the poster's point of view, and I agree with it, and lots cos they make me chuckle.
But why I give them and who I give them to shouldn't come into it.
I also thought it bizarre that Chameleon checked who gave you a kudo.
I thought only 4Channel did weird things like that.
I first observed Kudos being introduced when the US computer forum was meaningful and vibrant. They were lodged as a sign of respect and/or gratitude to the replier who resolved a vexing tech issue
Originally suggested (not seriously) as gold star icons
I wasn't around then, I guess, the only thing I've seen them called on American Ebay boards is"helpfuls". Kudos actually makes more sense.

Hoons tend to be blokes (males) who drive around in old V8s using up a set of tyres every few hundred miles. All hoons are bogans, but not all bogans are hoons. They are a subset, if you like, like those rednecks who always go to the Indianapolis 500.

OK, I misused the word 'hoons' it appears.
A better word for that lot in the pic would be f***wits

Let's try Lal with a bit of Aussie.
This guy - handsome as he is - travelled from Florida - dressed as he is with the flag rolled along with Trumpy's face in his netherlands- to join the DC - protesters for Corporal Covid (Trump).
What Aussie expression would you use - to describe this.

South Australia ordered into six-day lockdown amid COVID-19 outbreak
Ok,in Vic it stuffed up because they didn't know but in SA they have no excuse as they stuffed up knowing
where infections were likely to come from and they still allowed it to happen.
They've gone into panic mode without thinking of the consequences.
Lets shut down the whole state and try and get this cluster under control that's only in Adelaide so lets keep
everyone home and not test anyone and hope it goes away.
They are not going to find out who has it unless they do tests as some have shown to be asymptomatic so show
no signs so they may infect their entire family and if they are also asymptomatic that might put a number of
infections into the communities that will then spread quickly.
So they haven't learned from Vic as they ramped up the testing to find out where the cases were so they could
bring them under control.

Keep the contagion in - and deal with it.
SA is going into lockdown, and nobody is going anywhere. Their cases are being traced, and are contained.
