" Not for sale " proposed that my concerns with Danial Andrews disastrous handling of the pandemic in his state was based on the fact that he was a Labor premier.
Simply not true. I actually think Mark McGowen a Labor premier in WA has done as good a job as anyone of keeping things under control and Annastacia Palaszczuk has done a reasonable job too. ( as good as any other ) I have not once come to the boards to criticise their management.
My issue with Andrews is that like Trump in America, the virus has highlighted his gross incompetence when compared to other state leaders. He,s got a lot to say including advice for everyone else while at the same time having the worst record on virus management of any premier and it is regular Victorians, including direct members of my family that are suffering as a result.
At the same time he has adopted techniques and management style not unlike religious cult leaders ( the " IstandwithDan" social media account being a classic example ) to brainwash his followers into believing he is the great master that will deliver them. Other cult like manipulation includes instilling in followers the belief that they are the special, chosen ones while outsiders are trying to tear them down. Those who criticise are simply labelled as lying ( false news and statistics ) or biased.
I find it ironic that many of those who have the most to say about Trump ( and with good reason ) cannot accept the similarities with gross incompetence and social manipulation by the Andrews administration. Leave it to America, we dont need that stuff here in Australia.
