I'd pay little attention to the Washington Times, a pro-right paper owned by the Moonies.
Some quarters of the medical profession in the U.S suggest the official numbers don't reflect the real count i.e they're lower than they actually are.
My view is that even MAD magazine is a reputable source if it links their suppositions to reputable sources
Your stated read observation of covid deaths being lower than stated, in some quarters of the medical profession, is what I had read about in my original text . In my read text other existing respiratory illnesses were often evident like influenza , so the desire was to have all major severe respiratory related causes of death including coronavirus to be a published statistic along side coronavirus only stats - my reference to a covid antigen positive shark attack victims being included in covid death stats was literary license on my part to emphasise the issue

i dont read much of the US press
what i do do is listen to the words comming out of the hole in the face of those in charge over there and just feel so sad for the people of that country.

they have no idea whats going on and act like the enoumous numbers of deaths and infections are nothing to be worried about.

New Zealand is down to Level 2, just on the news
We can trace apart from 2 people where the people with the Virus got it from.
It may seem easier because we only have 5 mil people, it is the only way

I was surprised that Boris Johnson is seemingly so lax, I would have thought that his close call with the virus might have pulled him up. I'm not sure of the restrictions in the UK.... must look them up.

Both their economic and social systems do not enable then to do what we have done , as an example we can still fund mitigation support in-part because our export mining operations are isolated and continue earning revenue , whereas their exports are more non-isolatable manufacturing or farming produce - basically they can not financially sustain an effective lockdown
So the circumstances are different - what is insane is the UK continuing immigration @ 18+ million arrivals 3 months prior and up to 23rd March , I believe thousands are still streaming in each day.
