Those numbers are very alarming. Premier Andrews is going to have to enforce stricter measures if Victoria's going to get on top of this. Large shopping centres etc have to be shut down completely except for supermarkets. N.S.W should immediately shut down its border with Vic. or it could face the same problem. The Federal government should come up with a relief package tailored for Victorias needs. Total elimination should be the goal,not containment. Stay safe down there,folks.
If there's a lesson to be learnt it's you can't be in a hurry to open up too early. One only has to look what's happening in places like Spain to see the result. If you want a role model, look to N.Z. Total elimination first, then open up the economy. They've had around 20 cases in the last 3 months, all returned citizens under strict quarantine. No community transmission and no fatalities. On the subject of borders, Queensland should also shut its border down to everyone in N.S.W. not just Sydney.
They can stick their reputations - there's more at stake here.
Annastacia Palaszczuk didn't give a damn about reputations when she closed the Queensland border. And she not only copped it from the PM and other Premiers, she was also slammed by many Queenslanders. I can tell you though that she is just as tough and will not succumb to bullying from interstate.

within minutes of the mask announcement there were queues 20m long outside of Chemist Warehouse here in Mildura. At one CWH they sold out in 20 minutes. The other had more stock but also sold out in quick time.
Good thing I have a backup through making my own. I’ll have to ramp up production now.

So far no one is selling them in my little town out here is the "sticks" ...... Rang a cpl of places in Hamilton, all gone until the nest delivery
