I am supposed to be making a table centre piece for a function that is coming up. The theme is "Putting on the Ritz". I had thought of getting some arcrylic champagne glasses (not flutes, what are the other saucer shaped ones called?), setting some pink jelly in them (water, gelatine and a little red food colouring) with glitter all through it, then balancing them like a champagne pyramid (probably glue gunned together so I can transport them easily)
Now, my question is do you think the glitter in the genatine would work? or would it all just sink to the bottom? Do you have any other ideas to make it look champagne like?
This is not a fancy do, just a whole bunch of women dressing up and having fun, so it doesn't matter if things look a bit tacky iykwim.

Do a trial run. You might find you need to fill the glasses a bit at a time. A layer of 'jelly' a sprinkle of glitter, another layer of jelly etc. Hve the jelly as cool as it will go without setting and wack it in the freezer for 10 minutes or so between layers

Let is partically set first then mix the glitter through....more likely to stay put then. And pics afterwards please 🙂

Doesn't jelly turn back to liquid when it has been out of the fridge for a while?
Another idea could be some gold cellophane scrunched up in the glasses.

It depends how warm the room temperature is and how thick the jelly mixture. I imagine Lurker will be using a lot more gelatine than you would use to set an edible jelly.

I use cellophane in my vases, it gives them a nice look lol. Great idea j* and that would make the whole thing much lighter to transport.

Also you can get glitter cellophane. No melting, easier to transport. Bob's your uncle
