While I don't wish anything bad on the man and hope he can get back on his feet,  I do hope that he will take this time to reflect on a few things and maybe come out a better person.

I hope he gets well soon and fully recovers. Victoria needs him at the helm.

Daniel Andrews could take 6 to 12 months before he is able to return to work. I hope this is not the end of his time as premier. He needs to face another election and be held accountable by the voters for his handling of COVID and draconian extreme management of the state.

I wish him well.............a fracture of his back  is far from trivial. He may face months of painful rehab.    And anyone who takes avantage of his condition  to spout cheap political jabs is truly malicious. For shame.

Poor man ... Smiley Indifferent   What awful and debilitating injuries;  very painful and it's going to take a long time to be totally healed.  I hope he comes through it and regains his previous health as quickly as possible.

Tell that to the 800+ families that have lost loved ones due to his gross incompetence at handling COVID. Like Trump, he should be held to account through the ballot box.

I see no maliciousness in chameleon54's post. I do detect some anger and disgust though. These feelings are shared by many Australians right around the country. This is why there were protests in solidarity with the people enduring the lockdown. Please step back a bit and take a look at what went down brighton42.

Looking at what took place, one could be forgiven for questioning their own sanity. What took place was something akin to a horrid nightmare one could experience after reading George Orwell's considered to be prophetic classic Nineteen Eighty-Four.

Looking at empty streets in what could be a setting for a post apocalyptic movie, there was genuine fear going through the minds of many people. Not only was there fear for their livelihood and future, there was fear for what Victoria was becoming.  The term "Police State" was used by many.  Even Financial Review columnist John Roskam writes about it in his "Why I was right about Victoria's police state" article.
