As it's more than 100 days now, it has been suggested that a new thread was needed. The current govt has been breaking promises and telling lies at a rate so fast it's hard to keep up.
This below is worrying, "independent" pffft, as if your own doctor is somehow what? biased, it's ridiculous. So far there is talk of only including people under a certain age 30-35, for now. Remember that if your injured in a car, injured at work or get ill, you too might need to go on the DSP. They have done a similar think in the UK with devastating consequences.
and this is the 2nd time recently where the Govt has referred to work as welfare???? So when you go to work tomorrow (or tuesday), just remember that's welfare.

Independent doctors could be called in to reassess disability pensioners, Federal Government says
The Federal Government is considering using independent doctors to examine disability pensioners and assess whether they should continue to receive payments.
Currently family doctors provide reports supporting claims for the Disability Support Pension (DSP).
But Social Services Minister Kevin Andrews is considering a measure that would see independent doctors reassess eligibility.
"We are concerned that where people can work, the best form of welfare is work," Mr Andrews said at a press conference.

I needed a good laugh.
I do wonder why the military is near the bottom of the pile of priorities with Abbott.
He was quite liked until recently, I gather that is not the case now.

Stop trying to skew the discussion, which was SHY lack of compassion towards the drownings.
We are talking about the drownings, the 1200+ that drowned at sea because of Labors policies of "let the boats come".
No way 1200+ died because of the turn backs, especially since most went back to Indonesia.
No, the discussion is "The diary of our stinking govt"
So stop trying to skew the conversation onto blaming Labor for the Global refugee problem.

Or do you let untruths just go on by in your life ?
Ever heard of discussion or is this a one way posting forum where if you want to comment you can't.
Because sure as the sun rises each morning, if i started a thread trashing labor / the greens, you'd comment on it.
Have a nice day

Prime Minister Tony Abbott has declared the repeal of the carbon tax as his biggest contribution for women in 2014.
During a Monday morning interview on the Today Show to promote his cabinet reshuffle, Mr Abbott was asked by host Lisa Wilkinson to nominate his top achievement in his capacity as Minister for Women.
"Well, you know, it is very important to do the right thing by families and households," Mr Abbott replied. "As many of us know, women are particularly focused on the household budget and the repeal of the carbon tax means a $550 a year benefit for the average family."
honestly what good has has repealing the carbon tax done?? $550 I have not seen
the minister for women has doubled the amount of women in cabinet

It would be hard to find a less appropriate person for the job.
