Diary of our stinking Govt.

As it's more than 100 days now, it has been suggested that a new thread was needed.  The current govt has been breaking promises and telling lies at a rate so fast it's hard to keep up.Woman Happy

This below is worrying, "independent" pffft, as if your own doctor is somehow what? biased, it's ridiculous. So far there is talk of only including people under a certain age 30-35, for now. Remember that if your injured in a car, injured at work or get ill, you too might need to go on the DSP. They have done a similar think in the UK with devastating consequences.

and this is the 2nd time recently where the Govt has referred to work as welfare???? So when you go to work tomorrow (or tuesday), just remember that's welfare.

Independent doctors could be called in to reassess disability pensioners, Federal Government says

The Federal Government is considering using independent doctors to examine disability pensioners and assess whether they should continue to receive payments.

Currently family doctors provide reports supporting claims for the Disability Support Pension (DSP).

But Social Services Minister Kevin Andrews is considering a measure that would see independent doctors reassess eligibility.

"We are concerned that where people can work, the best form of welfare is work," Mr Andrews said at a press conference.

Re: Diary of our stinking Govt.

http://www.smh.com.au/nsw/reg-grundy-company-says-it-gave-200000-donation-directly-to-the-liberals-2...

A company controlled by Australian television producer Reg Grundy has declared it gave $200,000 directly to the federal Liberal Party six months before the 2013 election that swept Prime Minister Tony Abbott to power.

But the Liberal Party has not declared the donation to the Australian Electoral Commission (AEC). Instead, the controversial Liberal-linked Free Enterprise Foundation declared it received the gift, raising fresh questions about its relationship with the party.

According to a declaration lodged with the AEC by the Free Enterprise Foundation in 2013, the Monaco-based company, Akira Investments Ltd, donated $200,000 to the foundation on April 23 of that year.

A spokeswoman for Mr Grundy later explained the couple were directed to make the donation through the Free Enterprise Foundation by Liberal Party federal director Brian Loughnane in order to "maintain their privacy"

I thought we were talking about the CURRENT Govt.
Appears not

But since you cant stick to your own rules, the that means we are perfectly entitled to talk about other goings on
From 2009 onwards.

Typical one rule for you, one for everyone else.

🙂

So aps as the posters on this hatefest thread cant keep their posts to the current govt  and continually go back in time (and often way way back in time) does that mean they have set the precedent and we can all post stuff from the past and still be on topic and the mods should then ignore their button pushing if others just follow with similar post...

That would be correct wouldnt it aps based on their posts and the precedent they have set

Anyone that follows unemployment trends are well aware of how seasonal, casual part time jobs can alter the data.

Whoopie - fruit picking jobs increase the number of jobs available for a few months a year.. how exciting for everyone looking for a full time job.

I'll comment on what I want to comment on, especially if the information is public domain.

if you aren't a one income household, that answers a lot then doesn't it.

Do YOU EVER intend to get a job where the salary is more then $50,000 ?

Sitting at the computer all day making comments on social media doesn't pay much, unfortunately.

It would appear that sitting at the computer all day making comments on social media is better paid for by an employer Smiley Surprised
