Diary of our stinking Govt.

As it's more than 100 days now, it has been suggested that a new thread was needed.  The current govt has been breaking promises and telling lies at a rate so fast it's hard to keep up.Woman Happy

This below is worrying, "independent" pffft, as if your own doctor is somehow what? biased, it's ridiculous. So far there is talk of only including people under a certain age 30-35, for now. Remember that if your injured in a car, injured at work or get ill, you too might need to go on the DSP. They have done a similar think in the UK with devastating consequences.

and this is the 2nd time recently where the Govt has referred to work as welfare???? So when you go to work tomorrow (or tuesday), just remember that's welfare.

Independent doctors could be called in to reassess disability pensioners, Federal Government says

The Federal Government is considering using independent doctors to examine disability pensioners and assess whether they should continue to receive payments.

Currently family doctors provide reports supporting claims for the Disability Support Pension (DSP).

But Social Services Minister Kevin Andrews is considering a measure that would see independent doctors reassess eligibility.

"We are concerned that where people can work, the best form of welfare is work," Mr Andrews said at a press conference.

Can't see why Abbott can't provide his proof of renounciation of his UK citizenship. Hinch says the officieal record for this was made confidential for Abbott a couple of years ago.. hmm.

Tony Abbott became PM simply because he wasn't Rudd or Gillard.. not a good reason and that is why he is in BIG trouble now.

.......................................................................................................................................................................................

same reason all the other 'unsuitables' near Abbott cannot be accepted as PM......let the chooks come home to roost imo.

Let's see how the idiot voters that apparently voted Abbott in last time.....vote next time hey?

....meanwhile back at the chook ranch chaos reigns supreme!

 Abbott's Dial Citizenship issue.

Well from what I have read our Governor General, Sir Peter Cosgrove has a DUTY to dismiss Tony Abbott for not renouncing his dual citizenship and for Parliament & Australia and Australians.....heck!-the whole World has lost confidence in him as leader.....and for a plethora of other crimes imo.

Re: Diary of our stinking Govt.

IMHO Sir Peter Cosgrove, our Governor-General has a DUTY to dismiss Tony Abbott

The Governor-General is the guardian of the constitution with respect to government ministers, on behalf of the people. This is the most important function of the role.

  • It ensures the stability of government, irrespective of which political party is in power.
  • It ensures the legality of government.
  • It guards against illegality on the part of politicians including the Prime Minister
  • It can dismiss the Prime Minister
  • It holds โ€œReserve Powersโ€ to be exercised in a time of crisis
  • It protects the constitutional rights of the people and the overall interests of the nation.

Re: Diary of our stinking Govt.

I just don't think it will happen for that reason - dual citizenship, IF it is true.

In case you didn't know, Buckley's refers to Buckley's and Nunn, a store in Melbourne that is now the David Jones store.

No chance of it happening.
