Diary of our stinking Govt.

As it's more than 100 days now, it has been suggested that a new thread was needed.  The current govt has been breaking promises and telling lies at a rate so fast it's hard to keep up.Woman Happy

This below is worrying, "independent" pffft, as if your own doctor is somehow what? biased, it's ridiculous. So far there is talk of only including people under a certain age 30-35, for now. Remember that if your injured in a car, injured at work or get ill, you too might need to go on the DSP. They have done a similar think in the UK with devastating consequences.

and this is the 2nd time recently where the Govt has referred to work as welfare???? So when you go to work tomorrow (or tuesday), just remember that's welfare.

Independent doctors could be called in to reassess disability pensioners, Federal Government says

The Federal Government is considering using independent doctors to examine disability pensioners and assess whether they should continue to receive payments.

Currently family doctors provide reports supporting claims for the Disability Support Pension (DSP).

But Social Services Minister Kevin Andrews is considering a measure that would see independent doctors reassess eligibility.

"We are concerned that where people can work, the best form of welfare is work," Mr Andrews said at a press conference.

Thanks Glee, I didn't  realize he'd won his appeal. Trumped up  charge anyway when you compare it to the rorting of others still in politics

Indeed  it is actually really quite difficult to get any original comments from some regarding the news of the day.  Lots of C&Ps of others comments,  but a dearth of originality!

haha! Not from you obviously!

Oh I am crushed.  However,  I do appreciate the efforts to post without  the safety net of a C&P.  Practice will help a lot over time.

The irony of a bunch of over used unoriginal images that have spammed the thread for months to attack other poster for their lack of originality is too funny for words.       :D:D:D:D:D:D:D

Re: Diary of our stinking Govt.

I completely overlooked Slipper's appeal win I must admit..

"Thanks Glee, I didn't  realize he'd won his appeal. Trumped up  charge anyway when you compare it to the rorting of others still in politics" (or the others out of politics like Craig Thomson, or the jailed past President of the ALP Williamson)

How exactly can a charge, laid by the Australian Federal Police, be trumped up?

In the appeal Justice Burns said one flaw in the case was that two material witnesses were not called. ... Justice Burns said the prosecution should have called them, to shed light on whether he was on parliamentary business or not.

G58: "The irony of a bunch of over used unoriginal images that have spammed the thread for months to attack other poster for their lack of originality is too funny for words."

Irony?,  unoriginalWe would appear to use somewhat different lexicons, especially if you are alluding to:

siggy dogs cats smaller.jpg   or   John siggy.GIF  or  John L-R.jpg or  John 270.jpg or   John 180.jpg or Myopic Tongues2 Small.jpg (animals copied)

I would assert that they actually are true originals, as for   Irony  in their use,  "chuckle is so appropriate"

I will conclude with another "original" siggy  produced by a poster from CW days, David.

It's incredible stuff, Deb. How could such a senior official get it so wrong? Or maybe he didn't get it wrong and let slip some embarrassing truths (sorry for sounding like a conspiracy theorist).

Irony?,  unoriginal

I am on a roll now,  and  have dug up some more siggies / avatars made for me in the past by some in CW . Perhaps I should use them in turn  when responding to the political  malodorous C&P twitter herein.

John4.jpgThat is from Kylie (1st dolphin lady)  It is an original G58.  and represents "myself" with angel wings surrounded by warm, cuddly,  and nice things,  I am also holding the VB (vomit bucket) needed back then (and now perhaps) for some of the then occasional posts.

It was trumped up in the way it was dealt with.  All members of Parliament have the right under the Minchin convention to repay allowances.

Slipper was refused that option.  Someone fromt he LNP made a complaint to the AFP so he could not repay the amount, which was roughly ten times less than Abbott has been allowed to repay.

The Thomson case should also be reviewed after what has come to light about his enemies.
