As it's more than 100 days now, it has been suggested that a new thread was needed. The current govt has been breaking promises and telling lies at a rate so fast it's hard to keep up.
This below is worrying, "independent" pffft, as if your own doctor is somehow what? biased, it's ridiculous. So far there is talk of only including people under a certain age 30-35, for now. Remember that if your injured in a car, injured at work or get ill, you too might need to go on the DSP. They have done a similar think in the UK with devastating consequences.
and this is the 2nd time recently where the Govt has referred to work as welfare???? So when you go to work tomorrow (or tuesday), just remember that's welfare.

Independent doctors could be called in to reassess disability pensioners, Federal Government says
The Federal Government is considering using independent doctors to examine disability pensioners and assess whether they should continue to receive payments.
Currently family doctors provide reports supporting claims for the Disability Support Pension (DSP).
But Social Services Minister Kevin Andrews is considering a measure that would see independent doctors reassess eligibility.
"We are concerned that where people can work, the best form of welfare is work," Mr Andrews said at a press conference.

"Yes, he opposes this mine plus the other couple of mines proposed for the plains if they risk the water resource."
At last, some appreciation of the facts. All would be in agreement with that sentiment, but as I have often mentioned within a debate when making a definitive statemenT (not anecdote) be prepared to support it! So far a couple of attempts have failed.
Tony Windsor has spoken out and supported residents against this mine for a very long time" was the definitive statement with no qualifications, and it is wrong !
"so lets have an actual link to support the claim that Windsor has opposed the mine for a long while."

It appears that Harvey Shorten's minders were not paying attention a few weeks ago.
"Opposition Leader Bill Shorten has told Labor caucus members the election could be held before parliament resumed on August 10 and they should be prepared. "
Checking parliamentary procedures (sorry) and applying the 33 day rule, his prophesy can not be fulfilled,
Perhaps he "misheard" something ! Oh well, back to lay-by !

What are we supposed to be debating? That Glee and I know that Windsor has campaigned against this mine and you're attempting to prove he hasn't?
So support your statement ! I have produced Windsor's 2008 letter covering only his aquifer concerns, all you have to do is produce one of the your "many" Google links proving his opposition to the MINE (over a long time?) and the debate will end, meanwhile:
Tony Windsor has spoken out and supported residents against this mine for a very long time" was the definitive statement with no qualifications, and it is wrong !
PS
" I remember them very well so not neccessary for me to search for them." Does not count

"Oh, wasn't it me who posted Antony Green's article on why an early election couldn't be called? You must've missed my post..... That seems to happen a lot"
Actually if you had read Green's article you would have noticed that he never stated that "an early election couldn't be called , you must've missed that part
I could hardly miss your post from a couple of weeks ago though, it was immediately after this one of mine:
Opposition Leader Bill Shorten has told Labor caucus members the election could be held before parliament resumed on August 10 and they should be prepared.
