In fact I might put it to them on your behalf
Liberated ladies of this forum, do you think that your partner should do the washing up seeing that you cooked the meal?
What a lot of idiotic assumptions.
Especially the bit advising here to ask on this forum, as the response is in a thread which does exactly that.
Followed by the equally hideous assumption that all ladies women cook the meals for their partners.
Some people choose dishwashers, as is their right.

There we do agree gardening is a fabrication of Satan designed to eternally frustrate gardners and bind them to constant weed eradication and back aches. And like you I have said nay to that activity ๐

Ours is a Vulcan dishlex that we've had for around 20 years. Something went wrong with it once, but OH was able to fix and it's still going strong. If it were to die, I'm not sure what I'd replace it with, so reading here with interest
I've got a dishlex at the moment. Had to get a repair recently but it was minor and cheap. It's new water pump has given it a whole new lease on life. It is like a new machine. It never seems to have gritty residue problems. Even if I forget to clean the filter for months it cleans well.
I think it's a bit of a furphy that they are energy guzzlers compared to hand washing. The last research I saw indicated the opposite. I only wash when it's near full or I run out of plates and glasses so definitely saves water/energy here ๐

I recently got a Bosch washing machine and a clothes dryer, both are fantastic, expensive to buy but economical to run. DO NOT buy an LG dishwasher, that's what i have, only got it last year and it's rubbish - brother in law has Bosch dishwasher and that's what i am getting next.
Hahaha I bought a LG a few months ago (said I'd never buy that model in anything) and so far I love it. It cleans better than any other dishwasher I've ever had. I would recommend it.
It replaced an Asko which I ended up hating as it kept breaking.
