Do you object to BAG INSPECTIONS at stores?

Do you object to staff asking to inspect your bag? (they are only doing their job) 

Will you shop at a  store that asks to inspect your bag or will you go elsewhere? 

Do bag inspections and security checks help to stop shop lifting and keep prices down?

If you object WHY?

Do you think that objecting to a bag inspection makes a person look guilty or they are guilty? 

Rememer that its a condition of entry at just about every major /medium/small store in Australia

I don't object to bag checks....what I object to is having to queue to have my bag checked....I refuse to do that....they can chase me if they want to assume I'm a thief

I dont mind bag checks, whatever- they dont even really look anyway

I have never stolen a thing and I object and wouldn't bother to stop if asked and god help the person that touches me to prevent me from walking out.

Do you realise that if you enter a shop which has conditions of entry clearly displayed, you agree to those conditions?  Why do you feel that should not apply to you?

No one has the right to touch you but they have the right to refuse you entry.

I have never seen people queue for bag checks. If the door staff is checking one persons bags, the rest of the customers just continue to walk out the door.

shoplifting is not OK at all, the way to prevent it is to actually have staff visible as a prevention and to actually provide  customer service. 

Many stores make thgemselves targets by not having enough staff and I dont see why I should be pestered because the store cant be bothered to have staff

I have no bjection to having my bag checked - but I do have an issue with people who say 'if you have nothing to hide you shouldn't object. It is a fatuous and insidious coment that can be used - and often is - to justify almost any invasion of privacy.

As they didn't make my shopping experience a happy one the chances are I wouldn't bother going back any way.
