Having a chat with a few girlfriends ~ talking about all the stuff we need to get done before Christmas and all but 1 said they now don't bother with Christmas Cards anymore. The common expression was "Who's got the time to sit and write cards these days?"
A few send emails and a lot seem to either send a message on facebook or a big group text.
So I was wondering (other than me...) who here sends Christmas Cards?
Are they another thing that will soon be a "thing of the past" as our lives get busier and busier?

yes i do .
i don't write like a letter in them just to wish them a merry christmas and that is about it.
and my miss writes out cards for all her friends at school

I don't, except for very special friends and relatives, maybe 5 in total.
I make a donation to a charity mainly for animals and I send an email letting people know.

Sorry, don't know how that happened. Must be too hot for ebay.

Yes, I do. We have quite a few family and friends overseas and send cards to them every year, usually with a little catch up on what the family has been up to during the year.
I love receiving them as well

I do, only to all my friends that I have in USA.

I do a letter on the computer to go in about 20 or so cards. For a few elderly relatives who are interstate, they love to read the family news and I add some photos so they can see how much the kids have grown. And for those people we only hear from at Christmas - I have a few ladies I use to work with in different jobs and we always send a card with a lovely long letter detailing all the family news to each other and I must say I love getting them.

I've only ever sent them to a couple of people that I dont see on a regular basis.
Last week I was going through my dads stuff and came across his christmas card list and a pack of cards. Looks like I'll be having to do his now that he's in care. I was considering just answering the ones that arrive one by one. I know family members will understand that they dont get one from him now, but he's probably still got some friends out there that dont know that he's moved.
