Do you still write/send Christmas Cards?

Having a chat with a few girlfriends ~ talking about all the stuff we need to get done before Christmas and all but 1 said they now don't bother with Christmas Cards anymore.  The common expression was "Who's got the time to sit and write cards these days?"

A few send emails and a lot seem to either send a message on facebook or a big group text.

So I was wondering (other than me...) who here sends Christmas Cards?

Are they another thing that will soon be a "thing of the past" as our lives get busier and busier?

Yes I do, it only takes an hour or so depending on how many you send........people can't stop playing candy crush or whatever for an hour ?????? hahahaa! and no I've never played it, seems like a huge waste of time to me. but......whatever floats your boat.

I gave up trying to send cards years ago.  I'd spend hours writting and addressing them, only to misplace them or forget to send them.

So now I don't send them. Oh hold on I send a card to my dads aunties (he is hopeless at keeping in contact with the family) but thats all.  I tell everyone I don't do cards, happy to receive them but don't expect one in return.

no i only do texts now

i help my daughter do some for her friends from school and the teacher who also gets a gift

i say merry christmas to family in person

but we also have our main christmas on a different day to others as thats the only time we can all get together

its gonna be the 13/12 this year so had to make sure i brought everything early

LOL Soul art ~ I don't play any of those games.  My life is waaay too busy to sit and play computer games and anyway I'd rather read a good book!

So it really does look like Cards are on the way out doesn't it?  Truth be told by the time my boys are ready to take over they wont bother doing them at all.

we still send them. and every year I try to beat the people who send them to us, but I usually fail

I don't send many cards but always give a card with the  presents I give. 

The one thing I HATE is receiving a card from soneone on the 24th Dec when there's not time to send one back, then I send them a New Year's card but it's obvious it's an afterthought.

Every year I would buy cards, write on them and seal them, and every year I would forget to send them or hand them out. I don't bother now

I still remember reading your posts about getting them done during Winter, wish I was as organised !

Got the tree up yesterday, need OH's help with all the other decos, so will have to wait..have enough xmas cards and will write them soon.  I find xmas creeps up on me because I have 3 birthdays in the 4 weeks before the BIG day.  One over now, two to go !

Only a couple of pressies to buy and all done.  Then it's deciding what type of food to have this year.

Just that people say they are always busy, not enough time to do what's needed but seem to find the time to spend hours staring at a screen.  Must be like the pokies or something, takes your mind off "stuff"....and yep, I'd rather read a book too or paint or garden or float in the pool.........the housework CAN wait lol
