Just an up on panic toot paper.
If diarrhea - occurs - there is going to be a run on - nasal spray.

I'm just waiting for people to put "from a virus-free home" in their listing descriptions.
We discussed that the other day - so many listings for stamps have "from a smoke and pet free home" already.

I drove past our local Coles around lunch time and there was a huge number of cars in the car park. A lot more than the few days before Christmas. Went past again at 4 pm. and it was even worse. I decided to take a look at around 6.00 pm. and it was every bit as bad as I thought it would be.
It looked like a mob of teenagers had staged a party while the parents where away.
There where empty cardboard trays littering the floor of the isles, dirty floors and mess everywhere and whole sections of shelves in every row bare. Obviously no loo paper or hand wash, but a lot of the foodstuffs where gone too. Anything in a can, from beetroot to soup was decimated, pancake mix, biscuits. Every single box of Weetbix gone and most of the Nutrigrain. No long life milk, only a few boxes of tissues. Ladies sanitary products stripped from the shelves, pet food stocks low, the tomato sauce shelf was nearly bare and all pasta gone along with pasta sauces. Three bags of rice left and Panadol ... whats that ? Even the meat section was smashed. BUT ..... No one had purchased any of the bulk salads from the deli counter.
Staff where run ragged with the couple of regulars I spoke too saying it was the busiest day they had ever experienced. Apparently people where trying to beat the customer limits on things like loo paper and pasta and getting very stroppy when they where told they could only have a packet or two..
The runs on Loo paper and pasta might be a bit inconvenient, but wait until people wake up to the fact that Australia only has VERY LIMITED supplies of diesel and petrol in stock.
If people decide to take the car to work instead of public transport and start to panic buy fuel, sit back and watch the country really go into meltdown. The only thing that might save us is the shutdown of recreational activities and some deciding to isolate themselves at home.
Personally with farms and sheep spread over a 250 km. radius, I have taken the precaution of filling all of the vehicles fuel tanks up and filling every jerry can I have, just in case. Gotta ensure the sheep have food and water and some of the dams are starting to dry out again.
Hang on tight....Its looking like it could be a bumpy ride.
