Without using "faith, is it possible to prove historically that Jesus Rose from the Dead?
These are the main evidence for the resurrection of Jesus based on foremost Christian Apologists.
Jesus was crucified
Tomb was found empty
Women are reported as Witnesses to his empty tomb
Jesus' followers and Paul(an Enemy) saw Jesus after he died.
The best explanation is that Jesus Rose from the dead according to apologists.
Do these "facts" convience you?

No, these facts suggest that he wasn't dead when entombed and that he regained consciousness and escaped, with assistance.
If you can read the post you replied to you should be able to understand which facts the post was in answer to.

Yes, sorry, I see what you mean now. But,as Bob would say, they are not facts, are they? But my response still stands about him 'faking' his death.

As soon as you die you start to deteriorate so it's impossible to come back unless he never died:

What facts are those?
If the whippings didn't kill him, and the Crusifiction didn't kill him then I am pretty sure the spear in the side would have done the trick.
So Rabbit, based on the "facts" I listed. Do you think the most likely explanation is that God rised Jesus from the dead? Are there no other explanations that are more likely?

It is my belief that God 'raised' Jesus from the dead as I believe that Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead, but I am willing to listen to your 'more likely' explanations.

Which is more likely that, God 'raised " Jesus from the dead where there's no contemporaneous or physical evidence of it and is entirely based on heresay or the original report was mistaken? Can you think of any news article or event that have been mis-reported by many sources in this day and age which was later found to be wrong. What's more likely to you? Can you give me a good reason why you think heresay and witness report is so reliably to confirm an over 2000yr old report?

I don't know quite what you are asking Bob. Can you think of any news article or event that have been mis-reported by many sources in this day and age which was later found to be wrong. Is this a trick question? What's more likely to you? Can you give me a good reason why you think heresay and witness report is so reliably to confirm an over 2000yr old report? Please explain! Can you rephrase the question because I must be having a 'blonde moment' and don't know what you are asking?

bob is stating there is no evidence to back up your beliefs.
on โ09-04-2015 06:53 PM
Supposely there're reports of Joseph Smith having been given information by the Angel Moronays. Multiple witness attested to this and this information lead to many others beliving this must be true or otherwise the religion would never have started. Do you think this is sufficient evidence on historical ground to conclude Joseph Smith has been visited by the Angel Moronay? If not, why don't you accept this as sufficient evidence to prove the truth of it. What would you need to establish this most likely happened? Is Heresay enough evidence for you?

Actually I'm asking if that evidence is enough to come to that conclusion? Do you think that a person rising from the dead 2000 yrs ago is an extrodinary claim or not?
