My younger sister was a Chinese Elastics champ at primary, (also marbles, knuckles)
Being a couple of years older, at the same primary school, I used to participate in Dutch skipping - a long pair of ropes previously provided by a local market gardener who had used them for tying the cauliflowers down on his truck.
A team of about 10 girls, running individually into the turning ropes and exiting before the next girl entered.
