Had my second implanon inserted a month ago.
There was pain while it was being inserted so the Doctor said to give it a few weeks for the implanon to settle then come back in for a check up.
I knew there was an issue as i cant feel it in my arm and i could easily feel the previous one.
So today i go back to the doctors and he has a feel around for it and he also has trouble finding it so he tells me that it looks like it has gone deeper than it should have (it should just sit under the skin) and has embedded into the muscle (which would explain the strange muscle cramps im having in my arm)
So now i have to go to a radiologist and have an x ray to find it and then an ultrasound while they cut my arm open and get the implanon out.
So thats $38.00 out of pocket for the wasted implanon that should of lasted 3 years and also $150.00 out of pocket for the procedure to get it out.
My GP was very apologetic about the stuff up and did try to get the radiologist to bulk bill but they said they cant on that type of procedure.

Yeah. Don't let him do it again, for sure.
I would seriously want him to pay for everything. It's not like you inserted
it yourself and they have to fix the mess.
No doubt you will have to pay and then seek compensation,
cos you're not likely to go without it - bit risky

Medical negligence I believe is a death sentence due to the stress of the ordeal. Personally I would go to a new Doctor for the procedure.

If you have finished having children why not have your tubes tied of him a vactectomy? No drugs no implants

Or a Bigger TV.
I got an IUD in London in the 70's.
Can still remember my horror when being the next called.
Nurse called my name & led me to Dr Butcher's rooms.
Still haven't recovered & had it removed as soon as I landed in Oz.
