Glynis Johns, who sang Send in the Clowns and Sister Suffragette on Mary Poppins, dies aged 100 - AB...

I particularly loved her as a mermaid in the film Miranda, when I was small.

RIP Glynis

Eric Carmen’s original “All by myself” is brilliant and performed with deep and painful sensitivity.

May he be in the company of the angels.

We have lost a favourite Fremantle local - latterly from Margaret River ☹️

Ian Parmenter introduced so much fun to cooking in 'Consuming Passions' on the ABC

Vale Ian - much missed!

Re: Entertainment world deaths 2024

Sir Andrew Davis, the great conductor, has died of leukaemia, aged 80.

This is incredibly saddening. He was a superb conductor and I particularly loved his Mahler, Berlioz, Massenet and Holst. We had the privilege of his conducting the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra up until 2019, which raised the MSO’s profile globally.

This is a loss that is resonating around the world.

Apart from being a superb conductor, he also possessed a great sense of humour and devilment which endeared him to many more people!

Vale Sir Andrew
