For some strange reason I really like quinoa although I can't always remember how to pronounce it.

I only discovered quinoa this year. Love it. Love the texture.

Not a food as such, but I have recently started using flavour infused olive oils. I have a chilli one, a garlic, a basil and a lemon one atm. An easy way to get subtle flavours into whatever you're cooking.

I made my own garlic peanut oil on the weekend for a stir fry.  I like garlic but in a stir fry it often gets burnt and then it is supposed to be bitter.

This way you have the flavour without the bitterness.  I don't know how long you can keep it for but I'm assuming it will last well in the fridge.

I'm liking food more and more that doesn't have any flavours added.

I like to taste the potato, the pumpkin, the carrot, the meat.

I do admit to liking tossed salad with home made oil dressing.  Oh, and Sea Salt.

I'm WITH YA, DEB.

I stopped using salt soooooooooo long ago ... I do add herbs, juice, garlic, whatever. Very occasionally I add sea salt.

BUT ... we're just about out of groceries and the kid came up to me and talked about what he could have for dinner. I suggested pasta, tomatoes, and cheese.

He told me I inspired him, and asked if I remembered Canada ...

He wants to make poutine with pasta instead of chips/fries.

For those of you who don't know ... poutine is hot chips/fries, topped with gravy and some kind of cheese.

Well, 10/10 for invention.

Deep frying herbs to me seems to lose the idea of a fresh burst of flavour. Love fresh basil.

new taste sensation: oysters. Natural. With hand cut homemade chips.
