Does anyone know how I can stop them please.

I'm going to try the tray thanks everyone. Now I need how to get them out of the pot, I'm worried they've found a home in there.

Nooooooo!! Not Ant Rid. The label says do not apply near food. I wouldn't like ant rid flavoured strawberries.
Nor the poisons associated with it. I would flood them out. Drown em and drown em with water till they moved out.

Get a friendly echidna and make it well fed and happy. Support your local fauna !!!

Crystal, if the ants have made a nestt in the pot, there is nothing you can do except repot the plant into clean soil. Wash the pot and the roots of the plant carefully, so no ant eggs are left before replanting.
You can get large plastic trays for large pots ant any $2 shop or at Bunnings for a few dollars.
