Do not like the show, but may watch it because the stories I have heard of Hillsong are quite jaw dropping.

Nothing wrong with making money, though I think the lord may have a problem if you use him/her to accumilate personal  wealth  in their name.

There are two sides to this Frank was a sick man no doubt about but as soon as the allegation surfaced Brian did act and forced him into retirement, I believe his credentials were also removed at the time.  It was dealt with in ways the public never knew about.  However its still wrong although at that time did not know about Langtons claims will be interesting to know when they first surfaced and who the first pastor was he went to, because if he did it should have been fully  investigated.  From memory Frank passed away before some things came to light.

Did Langton ever lodge a complaint with police?  Amazing man to be able to forgive after enduring such an ordeal.

Who's Donald Elley?? lots of peoples personal opinions I wonder what the facts are?  I think maybe the truth lays somewhere in between?

So many Baptist style 'all singing all dancing all money' churches popping up and taking people for a ride.

Catch the fire and exclusive Brethren are nothing like the other three at all. In the AOG churches are autonomous they all function differently according to how the minister is.  So for example some may have links to say catch the fire, others refuse to affiliate with it.  It's the same with how they run their churches, they differ.

Personally you have to take each church on its merits.  I dislike churches where they have multiple offerings, 20 minute offering sermons every week before the sermon etc etc But there are many who don't who trust that they will raise the funds to do whats needed and others who spend their lives struggling on a pittance who generally do a good job and contribute lots to their communities.

Sorry to bump this thread.  I was flicking through the channels last night and saw ACC was showing the Hillsong Conference and remembered Trish said she was going.  At first I thought "whoah"  this guy is a bit "out there" but I couldn't stop watching him!!  Steve Furtick was his name i think.  He was good!   Did you end up going, Trish?   (last time i was at all phones was to see JB a couple of yrs ago lol)
