Totally agree, if you a meant to be staying at home, why do you need to attend a hairdresser? Surely people aren't that vain at a time like this?

Now there's another option, Dom. That's how i'd present myself at work back in the old days.

Signatures suck.

OK - Scrunchies for your birthday - along with a special bottle of your favourite. (())

So, did you go to the hairdresser's, Icy?

Yes, and I'm still alive, as is my hairdresser.

So far.

It's not instantaneous.

I'll be sure to keep you updated.

Maybe your next of kin can do that.

Don't get too excited about my impending doom just because I've been to the hairdresser's.

Woman LOL

"The cure is more deadly than the disease, in this instance"

I hope that that's true for you and all those you love, but that ultimately you will come to understand and acknowledge the exact reality regarding what has happened and how it is happening and the consequences of doing nothing ... Heart

Thank, you Tas.

Believe me, I totally understand a contagious disease. Which is why I agree to handwashing and cleanliness, sanitisation and social distancing.

But closing down whole economies?

Way over the top.

when people throw up italy or now spain as examples of this virus being crazy scarey i say,

but italy was a basket case before the virus, i expect spain too.

here we have a pretty darn good public hospital sytem quite well paid for by the medicare levy.

it could be better.

lets just see how the great USA manages with their user pays system.

as you said, for all the yelling our little old system has coped pretty well

just 14 dead till now.

the govt should have acted faster with closing borders but ya cant turn back time.

it is what it is.

we now know we were under prepared for something like this.

hopefully we learn from it

not all enemies arrive on boats carrying guns

we are spending billions on subs and tanks ect

its medical stuff we ought to be investing in

I especially liked - Italy & Spain - described as basket cases.

Ever been to either. ????

Not this one if you think the way you do,

Which is why I agree to handwashing and cleanliness, sanitisation and social distancing.

What about that person who has it that's just walked past you because someone was distracted or doesn't

believe in the social distancing rules like the people at Bondi?

But closing down whole economies?

That's the only thing that's slowed it otherwise you could have customers or fellow workmates infecting

others and it then becomes a case of no control at all.

Way over the top.

Probably didn't happen quick enough is a better scenario and not stopping them getting of the ships.

There is no choice as proven in other countries and your believe is why the world is in such bad shape at

present because there isn't much point in believing in social distancing if others don't and if people wont social

distance themselves the only other choice is shutting the economy.

There was a group of twenty visitors/social golfers from Melbourne at the golf club on Tuesday that congregated

at the last hole and they all got in close to hear their results and when mentioned about the social distancing

they said there are no reports of cases up here not understanding that if one of them had it then there was

a chance that others would now have it.

That's the mentality of why social distancing doesn't work with numpties.

"That's the mentality of why social distancing doesn't work with numpties".

I don't think this is the case just because some people disagree. I think some people just don't get it because they unfortunately don't have enough grey matter to get it. And I think the Government needs to realise this. Some politicians and medical professionals are angrily saying that people are not listening. In reality some people are listening but are not fully understanding. They are not able to work out the implications or consequences of what may happen if this thing gets totally out of control.

If you don't understand something you ask is the simple way of getting a message across and that's what the

government should be saying to get that message across.

The government needs to show people what happens if it gets out of hand as it has in other countries and that

it's not something that you can ignore as it wont go away if people don't act.stubborn_smiley_by_mirz123-d4bt0te_zps12f1a5a3.gif

If one person infect two others and they in turn infect two others each every day day and it continues like that

for ten days that one person doing the wrong thing could be responsible for over 500 infection.

That's why it's hard to control as it can multiply rapidly.shok.gif

Somebody recently approached me and asked, "What is a pandemic"? The same person then asked, "Can you explain what pneumonia is"? There would be little point in saying to this person that they must practice social distancing because this pandemic has the potential to cause fatal pneumonia. They need to be adequately educated and informed too for their and our sakes. The Government needs to realize this.
