remembering what these boards were like about 7-8 years ago when i first came on i don't think it is anywhere near as nasty or controversial now as it was then.  if anything sometimes it can be a little boring.  i guess it is like any community which changes as people come and go, some lovely some not so, but there always seems to be a lot of kindness and support for those in genuine need.  i have met a few people on here and they were all extremely lovely people.

I can't believe grandpa is still there 5 hours later.  :^O

CW was more populated, so threads moved really quickly.  If you read a thread all the way through, by the time you went back to the main page, it was filled with new threads.  And Friday nights were particularly busy.   I think people did get sick of being reported, so they wandered off to other forums or facebook.  It's a shame, but that's evolution.

When CW was disbanded, a few new forums were started with CW'ers  moving to those, as they felt they didn't like/want the changes coming. Some of them may still exist and ex CW people maybe happy to hang out in those places instead.
