Hello Count, nice to see you:-)
The weather has been lovely this weekend, just how I like it, not too hot and not too cold.
Hope everyone had a good w/end.

Crosby, is the rain bad where you are??

Hi Pam, hi friends.:-)
We had some fairly heavy rain this morning but it's been on and off all day, not steady. However we could be in for a bit of flash flooding this weekend. I heard one prediction of 100mm rainfall over the two days. They're getting three or four times that much rain in the north but's it's still a fair amount to receive in a short period.
I hope everyone's keeping dry and cool and safe from bushfires, floods and the like.

Just heard the latest forecast and it's now 2 to 300mm over the weekend.

Oh dear Crosby, that is no good, lets hope it is not as bad as last time.
Stay safe with Rachael:-)
Looks like you will be indoors for the long weekend.
Nice and cool here, no fires near us. Elvis went over before to go to Gippsland to fight the fires that are still burning.
Elvis is huge, and the noise is deafening, still it does a good job.
Enjoy if you can, the weekend.

Crosby........Hope you are still okay, where you are.

Hi everyone
I am a bit worried about Crosby. Heavy flooding is predicted again. The Sunshine Coast, now Brisbane, Gold Coast & down the east coast of NSW. Our area has flooding predicted tomorrow. Raining cats & dogs for the last 18 hours
Fingers crossed for everyone in the flood areas

Evening friends.:-)
I'm at home and high 'n dry, thanks Pam. Apart from a trip outside this morning to unclog a drain, I haven't ventured out all day. Was going to do the weekly grocery shop this morning but decided against it.
It's been pretty wild this afternoon. It's bucketing down and fierce winds are driving the rain sideways, so I've had to keep all windows shut. The trees are swaying a lot and occasionally whacking my front windows but there's been no damage. The suburb is very quiet with most people staying off the roads.
Rachael went out after her morning feed and hasn't been back - I've been calling her with no response. Hopefully she's found a dry spot.
I don't think this'll turn out anything like the 2011 flood. It's predicted to ease tomorrow afternoon, so fingers crossed. The water's about 4 inches deep in the driveway here and I'm not expecting it to get any higher.
I hope everyone's having a good weekend, whatever the weather.
