Have you seen my glasses?

The vehement answer:" How would I know where your glasses are? blah ..... blah ...... blah .... blah  "

why is it that women answer the question you didn't ask?

I didn't ask 'where are my glasses? or "Do you know where my glasses are?" to which I might expect an answer like the above BUT

I asked "have you seen my glasses?"

apart from the obvious answer - "Yes, I saw them yesterday" or "No, I haven't seen them lately" one would expect either a "Yes" or a "No"  and not a personal attack that carried on for 10 minutes.

and she wonders why I prefer to go outside ...

I sat with my son the other day, having a cuppa at the local cafe - looked at the table, picked up my sunnies to put on .... what? they don't fit  ... what's wrong?  Oh, I see! I already have MY sunnies on and I'm trying to put my son's sunnies on top of them. Nothing wrong with me.
