Hello Aussies! It's the crazy Yank here with a rabbit question...

It's this - do you have, anywhere in your country, a monument to the man who released rabbits into Australia?  And, if so, what does it look like, and what does it say???

I've tried to find one, but I've had no luck.

Best wishes,  Bob, the crazed yankee...

YOU AUSSIES ARE GREAT!!!!!   I'm laughing my guts offf!!  THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!  Be veeeeewwyyy quiet....heee, heee, hee, oh brother.!.  The shout's on me!

You see, what I had originally imagined is a statue commemorating the introduction of that plague, a statue where people could bring comments or something,or leave little post-it notes just to relieve boredom.   Perhaps a statue of what's his name, with a comment or a nice plaque which reads, "To What-s his Name, the demented crazy bugger who brought us all those rabbits.".

Tourists wouid come to visit that - and take photographs!  You could sell them rabbit pelts!

What inspired me was this -----  During the Nixon Administration here in the states, I saw a picture of a small unofficial monument erected on San Clemente Island off of the California Coast.  San Clemente is owned by the US Navy, and this was a naval installation.  The "monument" was a small trail leading up to a small knoll on top of a cliff.  At the base of the knoll was a sign which read "Richard Nixon National Monument."  At the top was a toilet with the lid facing up....  It did not remain there long - the officers were not amused...

They might have to erect a statue to the poster who figures out a way to get rid of all the new yanks.

😛

Hi bob, and doodah, and all the posters at CS who might remember me.
