It's this - do you have, anywhere in your country, a monument to the man who released rabbits into Australia? And, if so, what does it look like, and what does it say???
I've tried to find one, but I've had no luck.
Best wishes, Bob, the crazed yankee...

The United States deducts that from you when you leave, typical of them, however you get refunded if and when you return, they grudgingly give it back minus a few hours ๐

this thread makes no sense to me ๐

Hi chuk_77 Thank you!!! SUCCESS!!!! It's not supposed to make sense! See, originally, I was curious about whether or not you Aussies had erected a monument to the benighted madman who had released all of the rabbits into Australia. It occurred to me that if you had, Australian humor being what it is, that it should be very interesting!!! Well, that was my original idea!! THEN other things happened - people talked about other neat Aussie stuff and, somehow, I stumbled into a 2014 political advertisement for The Australian Sex Party! Now THAT got my attention! Stood right up and saluted that one, I did.
I can't help it if you people are lots and lots of fun and very interesting!!!! Anyway, please try not to be logical - it just gets in the way!!!!

There is no chance that logic of any type will ever prevail on this board, feminine logic especially ๐

Better ask that of a female, no mere male has ever been able to fathom the workings of that type of logic.
Many have tried and failed, up to this date the solution is clouded in mystery and one must just accept it or bear the wrath of the woman involved.
OMG !! you are a woman huh ?

silly poddster, women are supposed to be mysterious, men expect it of us,and we oblige, lol!
hi grumpy cat rocks! if you ever do come back, you come to wichita, kansas and i'll show you what midwestern life is like.we have lots of wonderful small town festivals, great museums, and fountains everywhere. wichita is also home to several awesome art collections that are available free,we have one of the top 10 zoos in the country, it's a great place to live, too.
my best friend michael is a coon cat lover,he's had 3,all of them just as goofy and loveable as the day is long. he lost 2,shiva and g.gordon kitty, but he still has leonidas. nidas is a half breed,so he has a short tail, but other than that he looks just like his daddy gordo.

@renomarvinm wrote:Hi Grumpy*Cat*Rocks -- I'm glad you liked your tour of the states!!! The cat we use as an avatar, that's our cat, HE's a maine-coon cat too! His name is Augustus, which is short for Augustus Caesar, because he IS the kind, and bloody well lets us know it from time time. Aside from THAT, there's not a hostile bone in his silly, goofy body! If he left us, the house would seem way too quiet, and horribly empty! But please don't tell HIM that! He's probably going to read this post soon, so I've got to hurry here.
Hi Orabrush!! I have never heard of that series. Years ago, I gave up on American television completely! I will sometimes sneak into the room and watch the newscasts, but not often. Mostly, I get my news off of the computer!!
IS IT TRUE that if I flew to Australia that I would lose a day??? Where does it GO??
Your Maine Coon rules the roost in your house too eh? Midas is King of all in our home too. (He's our Maine Coon).
Yeppers, when you guys fly over to Australia you lose a day BUT you do get it back when you fly home. Example: you leave Australia at 10am Saturday and when you land in LAX (or San Fran, or whatever west coast city you fly into) you arrive mid morning on the Saturday. Sometimes you even arrive before you've left Australia if you've had good tailwinds. If that sounds confusing just think about it some.

You never know we may find our way back to the USA at some stage. I have heard of Wichita in Kansas. I'd like to see more of the states in the middle part of the USA next time we are over there.
Maine Coons are very popular in the USA, just starting out that way here. I love the name Leonidas, very regal indeed.

Hi everybody! Our Maine Coon Cat, Augustus (Hail Caesar!) is a Yogurt freek! Honestly, I can walk down the street two blocks away and open a container of yogurt, and he knows about it! I will often give him a huge tablespoon of yogert, but he is not satisfied until he finishes that off, and then sticks his huge furry head into the yogurt container and licks it dry. He does not like Vanila flavor. Strawberry flavor is OK. The stupid cat is picky! I'm afraid to give him a glass of wine or beer for feer that he'll tell me that my "wine rack" is inferior.... Well, it IS. My beer rack is an old six-pack stored in the kitchen, and the "wine" is whatever I feel like at the time.
I am, I think, being out-snobbed by a furry cat!!!
(Meow!)
