Holiday Favorites

  I've been reading, and watching shows about food around the world, it's diversity and its similarities. And with Christmas coming, I thought I'd ask what your favorite special to the holidays dish is? 

  One of mine is Whoopee pies, one of my DILs is from Pennsylvania Dutch country and she makes them for us only at Christmas. They are so goood!

Saw that report on the news, we bought some soil a few weeks ago, not having any probs with it, need to buy some more so will be asking questions BEFORE  we buy it

Wasn't the prob compost not soil - would check anyhows.

Within days, it had been combined into soil mixes, and sold to backyard gardeners planting their summer veggie crops.

The garden soil we buy has other bits n pieces added to it.

Let me see what my girls have in their "grimoires" , lol! back in a day or 2, it's COLD here and fixing to snow some more.

Darn cold over your way ............... 33 degrees Celsius here atm ............ think thats around 90 degrees in your language

62 today, the spring rains are beginning, I just hope we don't get another freeze! 

  We are getting ready to make corned beef for St. Patty's day, my house STINKS, lol! 

Lyharger, my DIL wants to know if you're willing to caramelize onions? If so, she has a recipe she thinks you'd love. It's really good, and very versatile, you can change up the seasonings easily.
