if you cant tell when your cat requires help you prolly shouldnt have a cat, or any animal pet.

animals give pretty obvious signs when somethings wrong.

How can you tell if your cat is in pain?

Ask it......................................or am I the only one with a talking cat ?  Smiley Very Happy

Seriously, they do tell you by the type of meow. Croaky meow usually means it's unwell or scared.

Unless the cat is old or has a permanent croaky meow.

Cinders and Charm have a way letting me know what they want feel etc

Last year Charm had hay fever and although my heart went out to him, a bloke with man flu has nothing on him.

Burmese - ignore them at your peril. ๐Ÿ™‚

My cat nags.  She doesn't care how badly I speak cat, as long as I answer her with a pathetic human attempt.

My cat is 16 yo and totally deaf now.

Before she was deaf, she had a dainty liitle 'mew'.  Now the meow is so loud. long and often goes on for minutes - it can be heard by the people next door.

I know it's only for attention - she can't hear how loud she is.

She does it so I can brush her - she can't turn her neck to groom.

But I studied the pics in the link, and now I know she's fine.     No pain at all.

Just old and cranky.    Much like her 'staff'   big grin smiley.gif

But I'll keep an eye on those eyes, ears and whiskers now.
