How do you like your soup?

I love this weather cold and raining, as long as we don't get too much of it.

Soup will definitely be on the menu tonight.  I go through stages with soup, am back into the smooth version, unless

it is a barley and veg soup then I like it straight up not blended.

There is nothing like the aroma of a pot of soup on the stove. I think it will be barley and veg tonight a personal favourite.

How do you like your soup?

You won't like my chilled cucumber and crab recipe then Mr Grizz.  I still haven't made it but it looks lovely.

Re: How do you like your soup?

It depends on what the soup is...........pumpkin or celery or tomato then I blend it.

Veggie soup or any sou with meat in it then we jsut eat it as it is cooked.

Over the last few years I have perfected quite a few tasty soups as it was the only thing my MIL could manage to easily eat.

Re: How do you like your soup?

My only complaint with the soupmaker is it doesn't hold enough. However it is really convenient to use because it is quick. Some soups I still make the normal way but I certainly use the soupmaker more,

I have eaten soup out of the soupmate machine and I tell you it tastes great. The results are amazing.

To be honest I thought you cannot make soup in a blender in 20 minutes but I was wrong. You can make nice soup without any fats and you don't even need to know how to cook to get a great soup from it.

I would love to win the lotto and donate a soup maker to every pensioner who could use one Australia wide. Great cheap healthy meals in a flash.

I make soup in my rice cooker.  No need for fancy soup makers.

Vegie is favourite but then I scoop out I cupful and blend it smooth

and put it back in - voila -  chunky and smooth

What a wonderful idea, and how kind and caring you are:

I love soup all year around, especially in the winter, and I make it (these days) in a high power blender that acts as a dedicated soup maker and even makes it hot, so I'm fortunate that it is so versatile.

We're going to a birthday party for an elderly person who is on a pension tomorrow afternoon, and guess what we'll get her as a gift now that you have planted the idea and thank you for doing that xxx  ...Smiley Very Happy

Re: How do you like your soup?

Pumpkin soup has always been a favourite of mine. I have started to make Minestrone soup now too for variety.

I have also made cauliflower soup..need to get a nice fresh low price cauli for that. Our local Woolies had very small, with brown spots caulis the other day for $5 ea..yuk

I make the soup in a saucepan and if it is to be blended do that in my food processor.

Doesn't anyone use a stick blender for this?

Re: How do you like your soup?

I've been experimenting with my rice cooker a lot lately. It's one if the few appliances I love. Hadn't thought of soup though, thanks imastawka.
Edit: I'm a stick blender too.

Your chicken and corn sounds yum, Joono.
