How does the Royal thing work?

If George had have been a Georgina, being the first born, would she have gotten to be Queen one day, even if she got a younger brother, or would the female be bypassed in favour of the male?

They are both adulterers......................dishonest, philandering cheats, I have no liking for either of them.

I agree with you.  But they were both doing what their parents did and most of that social class does.  It seems to be part of life.

Re: How does the Royal thing work?

What I don't understand is - Edward had to abdicate in 1936 because Wallis was a divorced woman, and therefore not allowed to be on the throne.

Now I understand that Camilla will never be Queen, she will be Consort. ( They played around with the rules a bit there.)

But shouldn't Charles give up his accession to the throne because of her? The same as his great uncle Edward VIII?

Re: How does the Royal thing work?

The way I understood that, stawka, was that Charles was granted special dispensation to marry Camilla with her spouse alive.

But that she would not be crowned Queen.

However, Charles has recently said, when asked, that there "is a strong possibility" she may still be Queen.

And with Edward, he had applied for special dispensation to marry another married lady after her divorce, prior to Wallis.

Then he met Wallis and that was off. The ladies were friends by the way...charming, aren't they ๐Ÿ˜ž
