How many here....................

...................think that homosexuality is a natural sexual orientation?

I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

For some, no argument is needed. For others, no argument will ever be enough.

So Az, homosexuals are nature's safeguard against over population, it is a posibility but not a probability, well done for thinking outside the box 🙂

So far no one has put an argument to support their claim the homosexuality is a natural state.

You obviously missed TGSE post 🙂

Az, nature and evolution has, over millions of years, evolved male and female of all species of flora and fauna for the purposes of procreation and the continuation and survival of higher forms of life on this earth.

So was it nature that developed homosexuality?

For what reason?

Poddy, Nature doesn't do anything "for a reason."  Everything in nature is random, evolution is simply the process by which some products of nature prove to be more successful than others and pass on their genes to their descendants.

Homosexuality is obviously not biologically a successful product of nature because homosexusal relationships do not produce offspring without outside intervention, but that does not make homosexuality unnatural.

Natural: existing in or derived from nature; not made or caused by humankind.  http://www.oxforddictionaries.com/definition/english/natural

And homosexuality does not breed true.  That is gay people have overwhelmingly straight kids.  Although I believe that in some families more than 1 kid is gay.

Re: How many here....................

Thank yo for the reminder and the lesson in natural selection. 🙂

Natural selection also stated that the successful strain will eventual cease to exist, correct?

There is plenty of scientific statistics out there in regards to homosexuality in species other than human.

But, aren't we supposed to be higher than those other species?

* wait for it *

are you suggesting homosexuals are inferior?

Just asking a question.

-  because they do it, so can humans?

Could be applied to anything

- 'Why do you steal?  Ans: 'It's OK because everyone else does".

- why do you urinate on the carpet? Because my cat did? - aren't we supposed to be 'higher' than that?

 -

your argument points to you feeling humans should be above being homosexual, which indicates you feel homosexuals are inferior.

I was just responding to the EXCUSE that 'animals do it, which justifies humans doing it". It justifies NOTHING.

I don't care where a guy wants to stick his 'private bit' - that's his perogative. But trying to justify it by saying it's OK because 'animals do it' is ludicrous.

Now, I will say no more on this subject, because everything I say is twisted around.

Defined by nature itself.

Well poddy yes then it is natural because nature made gay people that way

perhaps Az has the answer. Homosexuality is nature's safeguard against overpopulation
