Re: How would you best describe right wing propaganda?

imo that man should've been gaoled for what he did to his wife and for writing the letters, he was certainly ""öut there"" it looked like he was even preaching his hatred in the streets.  alarm bells should've been ringing long ago on that one

why wasn't ASIO watching him I wonder?  especially during the past 12 months when we were supposed to be on hightened alert?

and why didn't he get done on rorting the welfare system, cross checks would've picked that up surely?

Are you happy financing terrorists via your tax?

The left are always happy to support those who are anti Australian, working against our society and

generally PITA who should be deported.

what a typical thing to say/think..... this is why I sort of fear the hard right wing Smiley Indifferent

Debra

The words I used were actually said (or close to) about Sarah Hanson Young, The bit I left out was that she would have been considered a traitor not that long ago.

WHY should we support those who are anit Australia and working against our society ????????

Why should our taxes support them ?

Fear the hard right wing. You have nothing to fear what so ever. Others who might want to start chopping heads off

might have something to fear IF the Gov't doesn't do something about taking them down, permanently.

Maggie thatcher had it right - "No terrorist will leave the UK alive" - none did although one survived

and spent 27 years in jail !

some people on welfare are rorting the system, but not all

lests just wait and see how they handle this in 2015

The percentage of welfare recipients "rorting the system" is around 6%.  While I haven't seen any recent figures, I would think they have not changed greatly.

Nothing Morrison does is going to change that core group, but it will cause distress and harm to the genuine poor.

its OK I found the White Papers

labor 2013 section 3.3

,
.
3.3
Maintaining credible high-end capabilities enables us to act decisively when required, deter would-be
adversaries and strengthen our regional influence. As highlighted in Chapter Eight, the Government
remains committed to delivering core ADF capabilities, including: 12 future submarines; three Air
Warfare Destroyers; two Landing Helicopter Dock amphibious ships; 24 MH-60R Seahawk naval
combat helicopters; ten C-27J Battlefield Airlifters to replace the Caribou aircraft; six C-17 Globemaster
III heavy lift transport aircraft; new maritime patrol aircraft; the Joint Strike Fighter; new armoured and
logistics vehicles for the Australian Army as well as additional Bushmaster protected mobility vehicles;
seven new CH-47F Chinook helicopters; replacements for our Armidale Class patrol boats, supply
vessels HMA Ships
Sirius
and
Success
and Anzac Class Frigates; and the EA-18G Growler electronic
attack capability. This commitment to prioritising core capability delivery will ensure that the ADF
remains one of the most capable forces in our region and can deliver on the Government’s priorities.

Just take a glance at the front pages of the telegraph, or listen to Alan Jones etc. The abbott government is using scare tactics in regards to muslims and the fear of an attack of some kind.

Really? Thats how you see it? I personally think the Gov are **bleep** footing around the whole terrorists in Australia issue.

Re: How would you best describe right wing propaganda?

Debra

All you have to do is type into Google

Defence White Paper 20xx and it will list the years.

I think the previous one to 2013 was 2009.

You have to remember that sometimes, you have to jump on an opportunity or a decision needs to be made

or you miss out. The Extra C-17's we (Australia) purchased was because Boeing said they were shutting down

the production line and were making 10 more "clean skins" (ie NOT laready purchased by a country) that once sold

could not be replaced. It was an opportuntiy too good to miss and credit where credit is due, I am glad Labor didn't

baulk at buying some.

The other apsect is, we have an almost unique relationship with the US (Israel and the UK would be up there)

where their is pretty much no restrictions on what military technology they will sell us if we ask. Why not capitalise

on the huge defence industry they have and also the fact that we operate with them all the time which is especially

important in today's battlespace with things like Link 16 where data can be shared very quickly.

Here is 2013 white paper.

Re: How would you best describe right wing propaganda?

I made a mistake re the numbers of Super Hornets.

We put in a request to purchase (2012) to order 12 more F models and 12 G models (Growlers - Electronic warfare model)

In the end, the Australian Gov't decided to buy 24 F models and will order the 12 G models later - I believe some

of the F models are WIRED FOR but not capable of G model EW (Electronic Warfare).
